Wow. That nearly brings a tear to my eye.
I know it's not the "real thing", but the Milner racing scenes from More AG are excellent.

that just shows how much of a handfull thoose cars musta been. its weaves on the high end a good deal..
Looks like alot of fun... I wanna build a 115" dragster like IVO's first digger in the worst way.. nothing serious just a healthy smallblock just to run it for fun... Alot like the Bomb Factory Digger, but a slingshot instead..

Thanks for sharing the film clip. Brought back a lot of memories. Me and my friends spent a lot of time at Lions Drag Strip.

Excellent footage, especially the on car shot. Wasn't Alex Xydias a film maker after the demise of the original So-Cal Speedshop? The mechanic in the Sidewinders(?) jacket looks like one of the So-Cal Speedshop/team engine builders, I can't recall his name. If this film was shot and edited by Alex, he could answer any cut version questions.

Thats the late John Wenderski. The car featured many of the same components employed on Ivo's 63-64 rail. It was state of the art at the time. Wenderski was killed at Ramona dragstrip in late 63 when he lost control and plowed into a boulder that was located next to the finish line. The motor was salvaged and later surfaced on the famed Winkle/Trapp Magic Car
