It's been a while since I last updated the progress on my daughters mini car ( http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231166 ) so I thought on this wet and windy sunday I would sort through the pics and let ya know how it's going.

To start of I fully welded all the chassis and componants and started to assemble them for the final time with grease and thread lock. The motor now runs through the zoomie style pipes and sounds great.

The fake blower now holds the fuel tank and is filled through the intake which just unscrews and has the tap and fuel lines running under it direct into the carb.

On the fake motor, it now has hemi style covers and the fire wall inplace. Inside has the brake pedal made up of two cycle mastercyclinders mounted up through the floor with an ally plate welded to them to make up a brake pedal. They then run to two cyclle brake calipers on each of the front wheels and can be balanced with a small screw on each lever. They work well and I've scrubed up both front tyres.

All the drive chain and tensioners are all fitted and so is the electrics. It now can be started from the seat with a key and started button or from outside with a remote start/stop. Useful if she gets too fast.

The body has had lots of work including swage lines to keep it looking like the original car and all the windows have rolled and recessed edges for the fitting of the orange plastic. The edges have returns to stop any cracking and to give it some feel so as not to be flimsy.

painted the from wheel gold and I've just started to paint the graffics on the side. My daughters name is Ellie and she love elephants, so, what else could I paint on the side.

We've got our first real hotrod weekend coming up at the end of the week so she'll be able to drive and get used to it, and of corse we can go for a play too, which brings me to the last two links after the pics. One being of my mate (UK comet on here) getting stuck in it at a local classic car show and the other, poor quality as it was taken just as the light was fading and on my eldest daughters cell phone, with my 21 year old son who decided it was time to take it for a run. Does seem to go well.
