Made one of these today to see how it would look. It still has some fitment issues but you get the basic idea. Cover those ugly extra holes. Would anybody be interested in a product like this? Anyone think they'd sell?

This is the plate in an aftermarket multi-lug wheel. It's held on by the lug nuts, like the bottom plate of a spider cap

    And just the plate:

    So what do you think?

    Incredible idea.

Could these fit over a factory wheel center too? If someone had chrome wheels and wanted painted centers...but maybe not permanently.

yup,i didn't buy a set of wheels this past weeking because they were mulit-lug ,that would of changed my mind

  11. Now you'll have to offer a choice of bolt patterns. It will be an investment, but if they are priced really reasonable they should sell.

I think you've got a winning product there.

Lots of options too - built-in spider caps, center bullets, etc.

Well, thanks a lot boss. I just got tired of customers saying they think multi-lug wheels are ugly but OEM type wheels are too expensive.

The plan right now is to make the holes a little slotted so they'll fit both 4.5" and 4.75" bolt patterns. Like the bottom plate on spider caps are. But we'll see how they turn out. If it too ugly then we'll make to different ones.

We will, And I've got some ideas so they won't be that much more expensive

They could fit but they'll be sized to an aftermarket smoothie wheel so there may be a gap if you use them in another wheel

They shouldn't be a a lot of money

Right now it's still in development, My dad work about half a day to get this far though. It shouldn't take him too long to get the details worked out.

  25. Excellent idea & the next best thing is they aren't "Made In China" & don't look like some kinda damned Cracker Jack prize.

    Great job, fellas.

Eureka! I think it's unanimous that no one likes multi-lugs. Go with it!!

Great idea. Would be awesome if they'd also fit S-10 / Caprice steel wheels that are dime-a-dozen in the boneyards. These wheels don't have the right "bumps" between the lug holes. If these were the right diameter to fit, they'd be great for the low-buck guys that want to use common junkyard wheels (and it would expand your market for these nifty things).
