Ok little by little Im changing things up on my coupe, Tires first then im getting rid of the 4bar and getting hairpins and a drilled Ibeam axle with 12"x2" drum brakes. Going with greengray paint by end of year hopefully. Money and time. before pic, 15 and 14" steelies
Damn, look's like a different car. Well done. Now hit us with the details on the wheel and tire sizes.
I got the alliance so saved 100 bucks wheels from Early Wheel Company and Rally America 16x4 front with Coker 550-16R's 16x6 backs with Coker 750-16R's
it's unbelievable that just changing the rims and tires makes that car look a 1000 times better. good choice!
Thats a great upgrade to a fine little A-Bone. The tires and wheels are perfect. With split bones or hairpins and a drilled axle you have made your coupe right on. The FOGGER
It is amazing how the right wheels, tires and stance can change a whole car, and really give it a whole new level of ATTITUDE. Great choice...
Now it looks like a real hot rod! Way better. Cant wait to see it done. Tim @ www.irrationalmetalworks.com
It is amazing how many owners miss the boat on sizing their rear tires to the fender reveal. Those new tires match the curve exactly and they sure look good. I too like the punched hood as well.
Kiwi Kev punched them, Im gonna have him do the decklid also. thanks for all the comments, I know I love the new tires its just nice knowing it hits the right chord with real hot rodders also.
WAY better! As said before, tires and wheels absolutely make a car or truck. It's amazing the transformation your car just went through. You wouldn't have to change anything else, unless you just wanted to. Very nice. Later, Kevin
well got the hairpins and beam axle on, had to raise the rear a bit the taller tires were hitting the wheelwells. Took it down the highway(101!) and it drove like a dream. I thought maybe going from urathane bushed four bar to solid mount clevis wishbones and tierods that it might transfer vibrations into the car and steering wheel but it was great! Just floated along as good as an A can. Im really happy with the outcome and look. Next up is gray green paint at the end of the year and buick drums. (fake drum covers for now)
