I've got a '68 327 out of a Chevy truck that I'm going to put in my 48 M5 Stude pickup. I'm looking for a 5spd T5 to bolt up. I know I'll need the short S10 tailshaft to keep the shifter ahead of my bench seat. I'm thinking any 82-87 non World Class Camaro 5 speed with a .73 5th gear will work well. Not sure there is a difference between the 6 and 8 cylinder housings or input shaft lengths. I need some advice on bell housings, hydraulic clutches and adapter plates. Appreciate any help I can get. Thanks. --48M5

We been doing the Camero T-5 with S-10 tailhousing on several SBC powered rods and it has worked excellent. Uses all Chevy parts.

I run a 92' world class with a 89' non s-10 tall shaft and top plate. I am using the old cast bell housing with a slave cyclinder to push the fork. The v6 and v8 bolts up the same. It is the 4cyc trans is different (well at least the 98' one that I had was different)

Oh, buy the aftermarket Hurst shifter for shorter throws and the shifter bolts on with 2 bolts like the old hurst 3 and 4 speed shifters. (so you can make a shifter any lenght with out cutting and welding.

Have any pics of the truck?
