Damm Ryan your cranking out the stories this week. Must be the lull between the shows. Keep em commin!
i've always been a fan of the line art ads from the 30's i searched and searched for a charcol sketch of the veda orr car at the the lakes i seen a LONG time ago but came up short... anyone know of the drawing i'm talkin about? real thick lines, lotta contrast. bitchin work for sure
I'm going to take the timing of this as a sign that the three Dale Klee prints I just picked up at a garage sale were a good decision. PRE-65: Would have to be the car ads of the late 50's, Oldsmobile and Mopar in particular..... Plan59 website is where it's AT man..... After '95: Jeez...that's tough....I love Weesner and Chris Frogget's stuff.
Only 1 favorite pre 65 & 95.. you're killing me! man I have to think long & hard about this one... -Juan

old stuff, just about anything from this guy, well maybe not this one : syd mead ________________________________________________ new stuff, almost evrything from this guy : david perry
pre 65 - most any pre-war printed car ads post 95 - Norwell, Weesner, Froggett... Too many more to list. We're living in a renaissance, whether we realize it or not.
Plan 59 is full of artwork primed and ready for funny captions... "You're damn right I 'm going to hit him dear. That's the fat bastard that gave me the speeding ticket last week." http://www.carspin.net/forums/index.php?topic=6805.0
