Don (DJ) Jackowski - Flatdog has passed away
Just got word that Flatdog has died, very suddenly and only apparently a few minutes ago. Probably heart attack. Just gone at his desk.
Don Jackowski, brilliant instinctive engineer and engine developer, and extraordinarily intelligent man in a rough shell. He leaves behind his wife and two kids in college. Son is in MIT.

man.........what a shame!
last year at hershey i was walking across the bridge and i kept hearing someone yelling my name....... it was flatdog..not sure how he recognized me.....only talked for a few minutes but he sure seemed like a great guy and a wealth of knowledge Zach

I'm in shock. What an awesome guy. He's been such a HUGE supporter of my road trips, a great pal. "Lucie" and I are really going to miss him. The Jalopy Showdown this year just won't be the same without him. I'll share a couple of heartwarming stories when I can.

Sixcarb, do you know if he ran at Island yesterday?? I'm just hoping he went out after a brilliant ET...
Zach is his memorial...that kid has a large share of Flatdog's mind, now supercharged with an MIT education. He will be the absolute best at whatever engineering path he takes. Denise, I happen to know that you and your cookies were in his top 10...don't know which ranked higher. Damn.
