...hopefully tastefully done wild custom paint but lets see those far out Lace and Flake jobs. Kirks car has me all giddy to spray some flake and lay some lace and maybe try some other bitchin paint techniques. lik eyou might have seen on some 60s customs or even lowriders and drag cars of the later 60s and early 70s.
i've got an old 40s Candy machine that needs a new paint job and i think the custom treatment will be the way to go on it. i've got my flamed 50s fridge in the living room...

Go here for plenty: http://rod-n-kustom.blogzine.jp/ It's a Japanese site with tons of good pictures. On the main page, the right hand column has links to pictures from a number shows.

Here's one to wet your appetite.

I could see a modern take done on most of those paint jibs. A little subtlety and they would be just great.

If you're not creative enough to get ideas from that, maybe you shouldn't have opened the thread?

I think it's pretty badass.. the '67-68 Impala with Cragars is my new favorite.

here's my 66 triumph painted in 1999 by tom taylor. tom knew how much sams 40 meant to me so when he painted my tank, he made it similar to the paint on the 40 chevy.

looks like a turbo charged aluminum Olds 215 in the back of that thing. whatever it is. kinda looks like an Isetta SEDAN. if they ever made such a thing.

Made famous from the opening credits of "Chico and the Man"!
