Great photo.

That lion has one cool haircut but wow so much going on! That car is wide! Check the front suspension, the frame horns. Is that axle a thick sob or what? Wish she could scooch over so we could see the rear. And the forks on the bike? Wild. Thanks!

Maybe it's the "werewolf of London" and "his hair was perfect". (Warren Zevon, RIP)

That's definitely a step up from Tim Flock sneaking a monkey into his race car back in the fifties.

Hell Fonty Flock had a monkey (Jocko) ride along with him during NASCAR races in the 5's...

The original anti-theft system... Look all you want, but don't touch! Seriously what the hell is up with that? "come see a lion ride around in a sidecar?" At the circus I once saw a bear that could ride a motorcycle and that was pretty impressive, but I think this trumps it!

It's not a big axle, it's a small car, and that looks like a stock Indian leaf sprung fork to me. Anybody else?

I'm not sure about that photo, but it could possibly be at Gilmore Stadium in Los Angeles (where Farmers Market is today). Gilmore Gasoline's slogan was "Roar with he Lions" and they did use real lions in some of their promotional stunts. Gilmore sponsored airplane races and the Gilmore entry would have a lion cub ride in the plane. Just a thought....
