I'm sure that some of your guys have seen Rex Burnett's drawing of the Pierson Brothers coupe... I love these cut-away drawings. This one was done in the '40s. Do any of you have more of his work? thanks - Joe
Wow - thanks for the responses! Hey LOWCAB - that '29 with the tracknose is killer. Speedwagon, I dig that super-modified. I remember seeing them run at Cajon Speedway before they closed it down. - Joe
Not the Pierson Bros.but another influential car:The Fran Hernandez coupe from the April 1949 Hot Rod.Fran is my wife's ex-father-in-law and just celebrated his 84th birthday a couple weeks ago.Franand Bobby Meeks built engines for Vic Edelbrock Sr.among other things.
Hey guys, Check these out. Old Hot Rod articles with cutaway pics. I believe this is from JimmyB's site.......Terry http://www.users.bigpond.com/designjp/hotrodmags.html
Not exactly,"traditional"hot rods but great cutaways nonetheless by James Allington.I got these 3 years ago for $1 from Texaco I think. Some kind of a mail in offer.About 17x22 on heavy paper.Still in the original mailing tube.
Damn TerryE - your hit the jackpot! - Joe EDIT: There is a killer cutaway of the Neikamp Roadster in there!
I do this for a living. Not done a full cut away car since college though. Time consuming is not the word! I´ll do another one one day.
