Well, I been keepin this one under wraps for the last month. I have been dieing to post this find!! THERE STILL OUT THERE BOYS! THERE JUST NOT IN BARNS!!!

These TWO 3 windows have been together since 1957!! The "Hotrod" (Shinny black, hubcaps) was originaly light blue in the 50's and 60's then in the late 60's "Jaybird" (The owner/builder) put a 327 chev, a muncie 4 speed in it and painted it black. He drove it up till 74' Thats the last time it was out.

The "original" was a car that guys around here only "Heard" about... Jaybird would get complements on the Hotrod and he would tell them, "The nice one is at home"

    HE WAS RIGHT!

The Original is one of the nicest 32's I've ever seen. It has the factory SUNVISORS!

Jaybird passed away a few years ago and my dad was called in to Appraise the two cars. Since then we have kept in touch with Jaybirds wife and she finally decided to sell. But! They had to go for one money, all at once.

So... a money guy was brought in and a deal was struck.

The adventure was the fun part!! We spent two days digging these cars out and putting stuff back. I had to "Army" crawl through the house attic and the garage to find all the parts for the original. But they were all there, and labelled.

I then put the original 90% together, fired off the Hotrod after 30 years! and made a list of potential buyers. The first guy didn't return my call in 5 days so it went to the next guy. Paul Atkins.

Paul has been a friend for a while and I knew he wouldn't jack me around with "Let me talk to the bank" shit... If he wanted them, he would buy them... and he did. This morning.

I'm sure the cars are availible for the right price. If interested, contact Paul Atkins at Atkins Interiors, ALABAMA.

    ENJOY.

This is the hotrod.. It had not been out in 30 years. I think ol' Jaybird was watching.. THE INSTANT WE BACKED IT OUT, IT STARTED RAINING, AND WHEN WE PUT IN BACK INSIDE 5 MILES DOWN THE ROAD, IT STOPPED. Like turning off a switch!

cool find, both neat cars but both were hotrods.

the "original" had split bones, tube shocks, juice brakes and red/white vinyl interior. How's that original??

holy shit. what a find. I have heard of a old guy up north of here that has an all original 3 window but I think there's a waiting list for it and a buddy of mine just scored a all original 2 door sedan down by lincoln, running driving car so your right there still out there. just wish I could come across one. I did find the back half of a sedan some old guy had and he just gave it to me along with some model a stuff.

You said your dad appraised them for the widow. I assume he was fair.
So I wonder how she reacted upon hearing the value estimates - gotta be well over $50K??

These are the nicest deuces I've ever seen discovered in my memory. Thanks for sharing.
