Default Hot Rods of the dry lakes era. Then & Now picture Thread.

I love the dry lakes era, the cars were so purposeful, they were not pretenders or show ponies, they weren't raced for fame or money just built to go as fast as possible.

Anyone that has pictures of dry lake cars that raced in the periods of the three spring era (mid 30s-1941) & the dry lakes era (1946-1955) to post then & now pics. Cars such as Modifieds, Roadsters, Coupes, Lakesters, Streamliners etc.

Thank you.

I'll start

Bill Niekamp roadster

Pierson brothers '34 Coupe.

Doug Caruthers modified/Chrisman dragster

Jim Khougaz '32 roadster

Don Waite '27 T lakes roadster

Creighton Hunter '23 T

Jim "Jazzy" Nelson / LeRoy Titus / Chuck Sarno '27 T

If you happen to have pics of early drag cars that raced from 1950-55 please post them as well.

303 crankshaft special.

Ike Iacono '29 roadster

Jimmy, thanks for reminding everyone here on the HAMB,what this place is all about!!! With winter driving us rodders in the northern half,a little crazy, you've turned up with this post, to save us all. Best post in a long, long time.YOU ROCK, JIMMY!We need a "Historical Thread Archive" for posts like this! Or at least a "MAIN PAGE" feature, what do you think Ryan?
