O/T....Ridiculous Gas Station names...show yours

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Farmer, Jan 7, 2008.

  1. here's a couple spotted in the "Ghetto" of Richmond known as the Iron Triangle. I have seen many gas stations with stupid names, these are both on the same street which just made it even better- thought you guys might get a kick out of these- ;)

for most gas stations, prices are stupider than names, not many goofy names for gas stations around here though..

  3. No photo, but...Pump 'n Munch:rolleyes:

  4. Two that I always thought were kind of funny were:

    Rotten Robbie's

    Terrible Herbst

That was the first one that popped into my head too!(no pun intended...:D:p)

I took this on the way to Bonneville. I couldn't believe a legitimate business was named that!

The 3rd and 4th aren't gas stations... but you still gotta love em!The last one shows the old loaf n jug logo.

I can't find a better picture of the old logo for Loaf N Jug now, but on the stomachs of these bears you can see it was a loaf of bread and a jug of milk. I thin when Kroger/ King Soopers bought them they changed the logo.

Friends of my Grandfathers had a sign above their workshop door that said "toot n come in" (this was about the time they found the mummy of Tutankhamun so pretty funny back then).

Never seen that one, but I made my gf pull into the Cum & Go in Muskogee on Thanksgiving so I could get a lighter.

Amarillo Texas: Toot'n'Totum had a convenience store near every major intersection in town. 7-11 bought the whole chain and changed the name in the 80's.

yeah...they became "Pac-a-Sac"s' in Canyon. . Dammiit, you snaked me!
some of them also became "allsups"...which is making me want a deep fried Chimichanga right now...mmmm greasy spicy bafry goodness.

The "Lucky 13" outside of houston is actually pretty cool...lots of leprachaun shit inside.

and of course, it's on either mile marker 13...or exit 13...I don't member.

There's an Allsup's not far from my shop...I eat gut-bomber burritos for lunch there at least once a week. They've got weird signage on the older stores-the symbol from the New Mexico flag and Allsup's on the top and the "DONUTS, BAR-B-Q, ICE" signs on the front.

When I was a kid there were stations called "Gibble Gas" in Oklahoma - they sold some weird fuel supposedly siphoned off pools of oil and tar on the surface.
    Anyone else heard this?
