Default 16" chevy truck 6 lug rims ??

I have a 1965 chevy pick up with 15" 6- lug rims , I want to put some 16" inch 6 lug rims on it, are there any later model chevy truck 16" 6- lug rims that would fit ?? The center hole on the rim needs to be at least three and half inches for the hub to fit thru. I would prefer a stock steel rim.

I ran Z71's on my Nissan pu 10 years ago... had to have the machine shop cut the hole in the middle out, no big deal though. I think it cost me $40 and they fit well.

A lot of mid 80's suburbans had 6 hole 16's. They are out there if you can find them.

Most 4 wheel drive half ton wheels should fit but try before you buy.

16 inch wheels were available as an option in 55, they're skinny though. I had 4 of them and gave them away years ago....probably not so smart when I think back on it....

GM is starting to deliver full size trucks with steel wheels that will be simply disposed of upon delivery to the dealer soon. The reason is these trucks will receive upgraded wheel and tire packages at the dealer level. Currently they have no plans to send the steelies back, they will be disposed of... although I'm sure some enterprising souls at the dealerships will make a few bucks off them. Not sure what they look like but they will be arriving soon.

I think any chevy or GMC 4X4 after 88 will work.

Lotsa negative offset on many of the late model wheels, they're usually 7" wide and use larger studs too.

Exactly correct. To add to that problem, the countersink in the wheel has a different angle than the standard earlier lugnut. Too much backspacing, no provisions for the two bags to hide the ugliness.
But like the other guy said, our 60's Chevy trucks are off topic here. I've had one for 22 years and 300k miles.

I have one of the ones that Squirrel is talking about. Looks just like the 60's factory 15" 6 lug but it's 16". I think they may have been availible as an option after 55 as well, but I could be wrong. Those would be just the ticket if you could find enough to make a set.

I think you could get 16" wheels on Chevy half tons for a long time.

also the pre 49 cars used 16" 6 lug wheels

the late model gm stuff, 88 and newer will not fit the center hub diameter is to small. nothing a machine shop can't help you with. keep in mind the offset difference, the late stuff with a positive offset might hit the tie rod. also some of the later model import truck wheels will fit, but most are styled steel wheels and would probably just look like shit on your truck anyway. there are plenty of companies that can build a steel wheel for you.

I've got a bunch of the pre-49 16" 6 lug wheels, but they're really skinny. I bet Wheelkid could take the centers out of some of those early 16" six lugs and weld them into a set of wider hoops to make any width and offset you could want.

up to the mid 80's (i think) the steel wheels were 15" on the 4x4's, i have a set for my '64 panel they are 3 1/2" offset instead of 4" for the stock 60's p/u wheels.

Heres a pic of a "16 - 6 lug. Ya, its skinny. I think I saved about six of these over the years. All had tubes. Should be a correct fit if you can find some.

My '54 has these hideous 16's on it!!!!! I'm working like mad on trying to get a proper wheel and tire combo on it but I guess there a good example as to what will fit for you. I think there early 80's blazer but I'm not positive....

My 2002 2500 HD came with aluminum 16" six lug wheels new from the dealer. Offset is not too bad, and the center is at least 3 inches.
