Default Bombs Away-30s & 40s Lowriders?

Hey,

I'm told that Lowriders, as car styles go, grew up longside of
kustoms out here in SoCal in the late 30s. A typical bomb or a
"bombacitas" is a stock bodied GM product, usually pre-1955
only instead of being shaved of trim like a "soft kustom'' is all
loaded up with every extra optional chrome piece, and than
some. They usually have little or no body mods, but some of
the most killer paint jobs ever sprayed on steel. They also seem
to be to blame for bags & hydraulics on kustoms!
Anybody sittin' on photos of true "bombs" from back in the day,
not the 70s showcar nightmears either?

Hoppy's got it, Chevybombs.com It's the place for that kind of stuff. I've got a '46 Chevy that I'm planning to build some time in the future, and I'm collecting all the accessories for it now. Some of that stuff is tough to come by, and bomb guys have to have EVERYTHING.

Here's a few from the SD Chicano Park Show in '07.

Best old school lowrider show I've ever seen.

This is a friend's 36 Pickup !

It has looked like that for years

" until recently "

With the truck on the trailer coming back from a car show,

Almost made it home another 15 mins more

Someone pulled out in front of them and to avoid a accident ,he then swerved and their went the truck into some olive trees and crushed , smashed ,beer canned ,parts flying everywhere

He gathered up what was useable and has started all over
