Some of you might enjoy this article from the very early days of hot rodding. It is from the Feburary 1947 issue or Mechanics Illustrated.

Thanx for sharing Kev...interesting to notes he was raggin on street racers and they were contemplating making it a rule to run juice brakes for all club members.
I wonder what "other safety devices" they woulda had them fit? Seat belts? Fire extiguishers? Rat
