Yeah, the "Spoiler" is the 100" car.The "Wiskey" vega of the late Joe Amato (a different Joe Amato than the East coast guy) was supposedly a 120" chassis.Hard to tell. Not sure if this is the Norm Paddack car you are referring to or not. Dennis Doubleday

Great stuff from Cecil, York, Capitol, etc. We sold a ton of fiberglass to all the racers in the Mid-Atlantic from '62 on. Thanks for all the work it took to post them.

Thumbs up Re: Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

Where ya at, boys? That's New Orleans Yat slang for "hello". Been reading all the great posts and enjoying the old pics. Ran across a few of my old racing buddies' cars that someone posted on here, but seems no one knew who they were except for my old racing buddy, Glenn Cupit and his Cupit and Cunningham dragster. I will try to scan some photos soon to help identify New Orlean's racers. Thanks to all for this great thread.

The following is a pic of my old rod, retired back to the street from 1963.

Jess Tyree had a Pontiac powered F/C when he came to Australia around 1969, it had a Canadian Pontiac motor in it and when he made his first run at the Surfers Paradise track he stopped after 300 feet and the spectators all booed him, he then backed up staged and did the run. The spectotors then realised they had just seen their first Burnout.

ok, I know this is not a drag car, however, I thought some of our younger HAMBers might like to see where all these Austin altereds came from, hard to imagine...

That is the second (Logghe chassis) Winged Express. Mousie and Willie never really liked that car which was purchased to fulfill match race commitments. The Dodge pickup is the same one that Mousie still owns and will use to tow the cacklefest version of the Wing once it is finished. Look for that car to debut at Pomona next year at the 50th Winternationals. I had hoped to cackle it at the CHRR next month but like my own NT/F project time is running out to get everything done.

I'm trying to imagine the first hot rodder to look at one of those and say, "What a great race car that would make".
