I found a really good story and video about the crash of Arfon's "Super Cyclops" at Dallas International.

Talked to Chuck via e-mail and he said KTTV threw out all the old stuff they had years ago. Checking with the other news outlets for their coverage. I never knew there was that much video of the wreck. |

This is a photo from the 1972 Budweiser advertising campaign.
My first job was at MPO Studios in Hollywood and we had the Budweiser contact along with Proctor & Gamble to make their ads and TV commercials. I started in 1973, after the ads were made, but the props, and film and other promo goodies were stacked in the "prop room". In 1972 all the Bud ads had a theme of some happy, exciting activity and the Budweiser logo was large and woven into the main theme...like the race car and parachute, above. There was the swimming pool that had it's entire concrete bottom hand painted with the logo, the Bud canoes, the Model A Ford Bud fabric folding top, the Bud pool table, and on and on....they spent huge dollars having the logo crafted into unusual things. This is when Ed McMahon was their TV spokesperson. You may remember Ed's voice saying at the end of the commercials..."when you say BUD, you've said it all....." I still have one of the Budweiser beep pitchers that was used in the Bud bowling team ad.....I gave a friend one of the bowling shirts that the cast wore..."The Alley Cats", bright gold, with "Ed" sewn on the front. I have some of the 16mm films around here somewhere. I got the films and the beer pitcher because my boss came up to me and said..."Get some dumpsters here and throw all this Budweiser shit out, we need the room!" So...to the dump it all went...except for the bowling shirt, some film and the pitcher... Now, there's some useless information for you!

Keep it at about mid '60s
And we'll let some later stuff slide, if its really cool. ( Most Vega's, Pinto's, MII's, etc, are just not that cool...)
