See photographs like I posted, plus hundreds more. A truly great resource for those folks truly interested in the actual history of hot rodding.

Here are a few pictures of the Mori bros ChevWagon. After they sold the car the new owner hacked the roof and renamed the car the ChevWagen and painted the flames on the roof. The car really never left the Maryland area, it sat in Greenbelt MD up until about 2001 when it was bought by a guy in southern Maryland. Then it was sold to it's current owner who lives in Virginia. Living in the West I never got to see the Mori Bros, but I recall seeing it depicted in the weekly amd monthly rags, winning comp elim at several big events. I recall it even being BB/A with a blower

I'm really surprised that more VW's didn't meet their fate in this manner. I think it's cool as hell but I see that it's an oval and I cring just a little. They we're a dime a dozen back then, not now. If only foresight was as good as hindsight.

That is truly hideous, I am not a fan of the VW Dragsters. They do make great desert/Baja racers though.

Chris, back in the day, there were a lot of hideous race cars that now have grown on me. When I was a kid, I never understood the old aa/fuel coupes. Why would anybody want to ugly up a dragster by plopping an old, shrunken coupe or sedan body on it. I think they're neat as hell now. It's amazing what 40 years does for ones taste.

I read on one of the Corvette Forums that it was seen at Indy in 2007 racing in the Super Stocker class. My Step Father sold that car to then around 1967-68? I've still got my him looking for photos of the car when we owned it.

I wish he wouldn't have gotten all family man crazy. He sold that Vette, my Mom's 1966 GTO Convertible and a 1929 Model-T that he had planned to make into a street rod. Then he went out and bought a Station Wagon!!! I was devestated!

Here's another pic

I agree and appreciate seeing all the old cars people post. I just never liked the VW on the Drag Strip for some reason. To me it's almost like watching the import rcaers now. I appreciate what they get out of those cars, but I can't stand watching them race? Maybe it's just my old Muscle Car mentality that I grew up with...

On the other hand, if none had been cut up or scrapped, they'd still be a dime a dozen. It's scarcity that makes them valuable, so that car helped that happen.

Cancer got plenty of them, that's why they're so expensive now. Same applies to all old iron.

Agreed on the tuner cars for sure. People look at me funny when I head to the pits, concessions or whatever when pro-stock is called to the line. I'd rather watch stock eliminator. My wife, who doesn't show much interest in any racing loves pro-mod.

I still need somebodies help, I'm in desperate need of photos of Paul Stage's AA/C from around 70 or so. Gotta build that car, just need the photos for detail shots.

To be sure the competetion drag coupe classes offered a unique style of car that featured dragster style performance with the character of an altered. Too bad the class was dumped after 1970

WCD, I'm with you--It was such a cool class. I think there's a separate thread on this board that dedicated to them. There's just not enough of them coming out of the woodwork with this renewed interest nostalgia drags.

I hope there's more on the way too. Pat Foster did Flaming Frank Pedregon's coupe, guaranteed way nicer than the original probably ever was. I'm not sure of any others. We need more of them along with Fuel Altereds. Seems to be piles of fuelers and funny cars making their way back.

How many of you built the Miss Deal studebaker gasser and how many times did you build it over or built a new one? I had several along with the Stone, Woods and Cook willys, the anglia and thames, the 33 willys panel. Who'd I miss?

Hello Fellow Hambers
I saw the pics of the Mori bros Chevwagon and was wondering if anyone has any pics of the chassis or interor or even better yet construction pics.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Tim

Dodge Revellation (Dodge Polora mounted atop Tony Nancy dragster kit) On the box cover the Revellation was actually depicted racing the Nancy 22 Jr Roadster, and losing as the roadster enters the traps first, chute blossomed!
