This marks the one one single greatest loss to hot rodding in its entire history. This man affected so many people in so many ways it cannot be grasped in a month of concentrated thinking. Truly sad, and must be remembered by all who ever enjoyed a hot rod magazine or a day at a drag race- just as a start. RIP Wally, hero of the rodding world

Sad to hear, Wally, my dad, and a number of others were the founding members of the local Dust Devils car club.....a plaque I still run in my truck today. Wally did so much for this passion we have. Godspeed Wally.

Wally Parks lived a long life and did many, many exceptional things for hot rodding and drag racing. He will be missed, but we should all be so lucky to have accomplished as much as he did by the time we punch out.
Rest in peace.

Thank You Mr. Wally Parks. I hold the highest respect for you and whole heartedly appreciate what you have done. Without you, it would be hard to imagine how things would be. Your passion and dedication was, is, and will always be an important impact on me.
