i recently have been absent from the hamb cause i have seriously been busy working on this 34. pm if you need anything.

well the story goes that Don Ferguson drove this car back in the 50 and holds some records. i don't have any older pics if it. if anyone have some please post them. the owner did say the # on the door was in mid to high 30's.

well the doors dropped 1" on one side and 1/2" on the other... i cut 1/4" from the top of the hoods edge inorder to make things line up. i also had to pie cut the hood 1/2" cause the bevel on the hood didn't line up. the deeck lid was a pain in the ass to work on. i requested a new louvered lid but was refused cause it has history too. the list of things done to it goes on and on. so i'll just post pics.

pics 1-4 are of the condition that it was in when i started to work on it. it was in bad shape.

All I have to say Dante is time well spent away from the HAMB. The paint job looks flawless. That wouldn't happen to be because of the great prep work? Great job. KNUX!

What a beauty, it makes me wanna fix up mine, but mine's in just horrible condition. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and do it one day.

You've inspired me, your hot rod says hot rod, no doubt about it.

Don't you love those crooked louvers?
My brother's chopped 32 5W has louvers that aren't "quite right"; there are even a few that were hammered back down and welded in one place. I would never change them or replace them because that is the way it was, not everybody is perfect.

Every car has some history, the problem is how to find it out!

Good Lord that thing is sexy. Great job on the prep - squirting paint and rubbing it out is the easy part.

    Wow. Great look.

  23. Yeah, that's it alright. I always wondered where that car ended up. I took those pics at the antique Nat's at OCIR in the very early 80's. What a fine automobile!!

  26. At first I thought the '34 posted might be Bob Rounthwaite's '34 from Oct. '51 Hot Rod, but don't think it is.

It's amazing to see how rough the car was and how good it looks now! You must have spent a zillion hours straightening it out. Beautiful job!!
