By the end of the day it took me about 12.23 MINUTES to walk 60 foot.

    Is that what you meant?

Took me 19.5 hrs to go to Springfield, MOKAN, and back home, with stops at both places.

My slowest yet. My brother beat me. Mine 14.30 to brothers 14.24 Congrats to my brother. However, I think I did a much better job in the water box.

Kerry, your car is doing great.

I ran a whopping 17.38 at 74 mph, but that was a lot faster than I was expecting since I was running a 2.8 ford V6. Next year, oh, just wait till next year!!!!

    John,

Your truck sounds mean as hell going down the track...

Kerry. I hate you. If you gave me your car I would like you a lot. :D

Good to see it running so strong.

How did Abone do? I don't think I saw him run.

I do not know how fast he ran. But he is fast. I loaned him a helmet and now my helmet has been much faster than I have ever been on the strip. I really like to see that model A make a pass.

It was great running you on that 1st pass! You & I were door handle to door handle! That, is a good race!

My best of the day was 11.68 @ 121.56.

    60 ft was 1.97:(

FlamedAbone & I need real tires.

  15. Rashy, I think I can live with you hating me. ;-)

Abone had TONS of power, almost to much. He hit 120 mph but did a lot of pedelling. I'm not sure but I think it was a 12.33. I know he's got a mid 11 in that car, he just needs to hook it up.

  16. That was one heck of a race! And you won it on a holeshot to boot cause I was asleep at the light! You beat my 12.18 with a 12.22. You sure were coming on strong at the end.

Yep, if you and Abone bolt up some real slicks I see mid to low 11's. Oh yeah... and maybe some broken parts.

Yep put some real slicks on em and see what breaks.

  19. You need to ask the real experts, DW and Abone. Hmmmm. On the other hand I might be looking for a job.

The track was pretty slick. I think everybody I spoke with was slower than their best by a few tenths. A couple more runs, you would have found the 11's.
Flamedabone ran something like 12.3 @ 121mph? Fucker goes up in smoke outta the hole but has the H.P. to pick it up on the big end for sure!
He already runs a vaginaglide(tm) trans. so with real drag tires, he should lay fucking waste w/ that little sedan!
Poor Flamedabone couldn't putt around in the street fri. night because of the weather, so we geeked out on the cars by trying to wake the hotel residents. Going round & around the hotel in the parking lot in the pouring rain:D I went to bed around 1:30 & he was still making hot laps around the hotel:D
    That little poncho is LOUD!

Well for my first time on a track I did 16.12 (87.28) my fastest. Now that's what I call SMOKIN fast! That 1957 283 has a lot more, just need to work on those 3x2. But it was the most fun I have had in a longe time!!

The flatty went 16.33 this year. A half second faster than last year, what a difference when the carbs are adjusted to open all the way.
83.33 mph. More fun than should be allowed!!!

I ran a scorching 16.92 @ 83.30 mph. Out off the hole was ok but then it would stumble and flutter . Hit second gear and it would pick back up. Reaction time was .1242. Lost by 1.56 seconds. Still had a great time and can't wait till next year. Thanks.

  27. Ran this Saturday but unfortunately it wasn't at Mokan!!!

First run on the left was embarassing when the gas pedal slipped on the cable only allowing me a Half throttle pass...!

I wish these were done at Mokan...!
