Just figured I'd throw some pics up for everyone that has asked. Since my last update, I got the subframe finished, the underdash swing pedal assy mounted, Aaron and Paul welded the chassis solid (I don't trust my 110 MIG), got the steering box mounted

Paul did the metal work on the body for me; he made most of the patch panels. We chopped the top 7" while the body at his house. He seemed quite impressed with the body. When he said "It's like welding a rusty soup can" it is a good thing, right?

I narrowed a dash that I found in a shed at a junkyard. I don't know what it is, but it's neat. Anyone know what it's from? I made a '57 Studebaker truck speedometer work, since I am running a Studebaker engine and trans. It's not exactly the nicest metal work, but it was fun to try it.

I'm in the process of painting stuff and putting it all back together. I've got a bunch more stuff to make, so I'm sure I'm going to scratch the hell out of everything, but I don't care too much.

More pics. I had to modify a Gennie shifter to work with the Stude trans shift pattern. It seems to work pretty well.

Paul and I were talking about this a couple of weeks ago.............looks like that chop turned out pretty nice! A T sedan looks like an easy chop, but the weird taper of the body makes it a tough nut to crack.

    Nice dash!

Very cool mang! That's gotta be the best proportional "T" Tudor chop I've ever seen. Dash is sweet too!

Definitley a metro dash. This is the one I'm using. I'm gonna try and keep the louvered panel. Anyone have a glove box door? Thanks to HappyHoppy on the hamb for the dash.
I really like how you retained the rear window opening. I'm not a big fan of the mailslot look. -stick

Some quick pics of progress. Found some cotton mat'l at Wal-Mart and dyed it black and wrapped the springs. Eventually I want it leather wrapped, but this looks pretty cool for now. I definitely have more respect for the guys that build fancy painted cars, I can't seem to look at my car without nicking the paint.

LOL..... the paint on my sedan did the same thing. I would look at it and it would chip off.. I think paint is magnitized so wrenches love to go near it.

I thought that same thing when I saw "Nick's" Ha!

Man, I can't wait to drive it either. You think I should put the supercharged '57 Golden Hawk engine in there?

I'm worried about it sticking up too much. Is it lame to use a supercharger with an automatic tranny? Wish I had the pedal room for a manual.

Just put the body back on. I'm getting the wheels sandblasted tomorrow and hopefully they will be painted black and have tires mounted in the next week or two. Gotta work on the firewall and floors now.

Let me know when you guys get tired of pictures.
