Cosworth Model A??? Video

Watch till the end on the dyno.....wooden wheels @ 9500rpm!!! Then look at the slide show, those wheels are custom made and painted to look like wood. The slide show is amazing, these guys do some incredible work.

Special engineering project, exterior and interior restored to its original specification but engine and transmission are from Group 4 Ford Escort BDA rally car power output 250 hp.

That car is owned by four time world rally championship winner Juha Kankkunen.

 

There is a recent thread with some build pics of that car. Pretty neat.

 

Where?? That car is beyond "trick" in my book. Not the typical banger-powered car seen around here but the engineering & craftsmanship is superb!! I just wish I could figure out the front brakes.

Damn that's cool! I like the way they painted the Cosworth to look "appropriate."

 

That is an amazing car.

You have to love the wheels, and old-school look of the engine. Amazing detail.
