I am living the dream now. I picked up this 3 window on Saturday and cant wait to get it on the road. I friend of mine built this over 30 years ago and never finished it. The Flathead was bored out 3/8" with a race cam. The crank was modified for a longer stroke. Sharp heads, dual Stromburg 97s and Fenton headers. It also has a Lincoln Zephyr trans and a Halibrand quick change in back. I am not sure how much the chop is but I like it. Now I need to get it on the ground, get some interior and wiring and I will be ready to cruise. If anyone can Photoshop some different wheels or hubcaps I am open to suggestions. Mike
I love it just the way it sits. Lower the front if you like - but there is no way I'd cover up that QC.
Beautiful, What a score ,what a friend! Enjoy , you only live once and you have just started! Leave the tires and caps,if they are to old go big and little!
Throw on a ford or merc hubcap and some trim rings if you want to dress it up some. Otherwise, just drop the front down a little to give it some attitude. Neal
I say just drop it!!!... heck no reason is spending money on new wheels when the ones you have are already awesome looking!!!
When you get it runnung, bring it to the Yorba Linda Village Idots on Tuesday. You'll fit right in. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u262/IrishMike_photo/DSCN0141-1.jpg I can't get the photo to load.
Wow..... That is a great find. Littler littles, bigger bigs. I'd keep the rake and not make a tail-dragger of it (though I like that look as well). Maybe drop the stock headlights over the posts about an inch.
Congrat's on your new 3W and welcome to the club very nice lookin ride. Cool color and nice chop on it. the quickchange is sweet as well! I really like Chaddalics "lowered" photoshop job on it. Bring it to Paso ...i'm bringing mine. peace, CAB
The problem is that i promised myself that I would get my A on the road before I started working on this one. If I have two projects at once I will never get anything finished.
Jealous! but Congrad's Great score! Anything you do will be alright, I mean when you have something like that to work with!
This car (posted by somebody here on the HAMB) has the best stance I've ever seen on a '36 3W. You've already got the wheels and caps; change the tires, add beauty rings, drop the front. Done! Super nice car with an excellent chop, by the way. Nice find!
