well.....its a weird feeling to think of letting a loved one go.... tomorrow afternoon my very first model-A will be leaving home. this car started out in september of 2002 i barrowed some money from my dad and brought this baby home then i paid him back half the money in the spring....so i started to cut it up then i paid it off...and apart she came....TOPLESS TIME! i was frustrated for a LONG time on this car...eventually i gave up...and built my other car then....i needed a way to generate some income to buy another car so....back to the drawing board eventually....it came out like this...not done yet.. its heading to chuckspeed's place tomorrow afternoon im gona miss this car
NOOOOOOOOOO you have to keep her!!!! You cant let the first one go, you WILL regret it!!!!!! She is absolutely perfect!!!
I dont know if its just me but i like the way you covored it up in front between the frame rails. Anyway very nice cars keep it up.
thanks alot everyone, im not considering this my first car i built because the #44 car was on the road before this one this car was dissassembled in my basement for a while during that period and i started working on it again at the end of 2005 then took another brake over the summer of 2006 untill november when chuck came to see it then i finished up some things he needed done...and now its going to leave i figure this is my second car even though its the first i owned looks like there might be another track roadster in the very near future thanks Zach
Well as much as I loved that car and wanted it myself, at least it will be closer to me now You have a great future in hotrod building Zach, this is just a stepping stone for you. When people want the cars you build it is a good feeling. You will build a lot more and miss them too as they go on to people that will appreciate what you have built.
I think it looked better when it was on the trailer.... **** whoooop whoooop whoooop ***** WARNING WARNING SARCASM ALERT **** test complete **** Always loved that car man- you got the eye fer sure- and I can't wait to see what you build next man.
Well Zach I can tell you the car is going to a good home. Chuck is one hell of a guy and will treat her right, besides, it's about 3 miles away from me now!!! Can't wait to see it, and I'm sure Chuck will give you personal visits....
Hey Zach Looks good, I wouldn't worry about selling it, I have a feeling thats there's going to be dozens of cars through the years rolling through your garages. Some will stay forever and some will have to go. I only regret one ever leaving and that's the one that I first drove at 6 years old, it was some red T-bucket built by some guy name Dick Kraft.
Nice work, Zach. You won't regret selling it because for a guy like you, it's much better to get your work out there; out into someone else's hands so they can drive the pants off the thing and spread the good word about you. Selling it is the best thing you can do. You'll get a kick out of seeing it out and about. On to the next one ...!
thanks everyone. i think that im actually ok with it selling becuase i built it (this last time atleast) entirely for the reason of selling it its not like i was building for myself with the intention to keep it and then it had to leave...so its ok its not done by any means...so its just releiving me the stresses of finishing a car but still fullfilling my goal of paying off some debts i kept telling myself....look what you got in return its paying for this jalopy and larry....thats your little brother...you know the one your gona give that coupe to....i need something with a roof for the winter Zach
Excellent job there! You have my appreciation for your skills and design! Looking forward to seeing your next project.......... !
thanks guys i cant wait for the next one either just need to figure out what it'll be exactly maybe brookville 29 track roadster? we'll see thanks Zach
Great stuff as usual Zach. I'm going through the trials and tribulations of building my first hot rod right now and when all is said and done, I could never get rid of it. But you can't keep all of em. Whens a good time to give you a call about a 28-29 roadster body?
SURH, that's a bitchin ride and g'luck with future projects. It's what we do. The Hot Rodder and Kustomizer way.
thanks guys scott...i sent you a p-m heres the last picture i took..... patted her quarter and told her to have fun in michigan
