talk like that. There is probably already a Model T club in or near your town, and most of the current members are getting senile and have broken down and "allowed" "speedster" owners in their groups. Make them think you are a "good" restorer and then get your other friends in and then when you take over as the club movers, build them "Gow Jobs"!!

I guess Flower can get in here with her truck but my model 48 is just going to wait until someone starts a club for "late models".

It's all mine...well half of it is. The bank and my credit card company currently still own half! :-) I found a picture of me in my dad's T back in 81 or 82. I was standing up in the bucket and my head didn't clear the windshield. I always have been a little short bastard. I spend many of years in that car. I was 11 when he sold it, I cried. So I always told myself I would have one. Well, it hit the street in June of this year. I've had perma-grin ever since. monkey

This was the day I got it, it's a '26 according to the title and chassis numbers (yes, some Model T's DID have frame numbers)
and it now has the remains of a TCI Model A chassis bought off the HAMB, Chevy V-6/TH350/V-8 Maverick rear combo. The body is really nice, and I don't have the heart to chop it...gonna be full-fendered, as well, I live where 80 inches of rain a year is considered normal, and I want to DRIVE this sucker when it's done.

Gee! I went to bed last night secure in the fact I belonged to the ultimate club in the world, The HAMB Deuce club. Now I find I can join two more EXCLUSIVE groups. I bought a restored '26 roadster this last summer so I'm in there also. Now comes the topper. Roothawg has got this "Unfinished piles of Crap" group forming and I've actually got more membership material for this club than the others. Looks like my T-shirt drawer is about to be restocked. Hope they don't schedule meetings on conflicting nights and test my loyality.
Note to 3w Larry: My alligence will always be to your group. Afterall, when your at the top, why settle for second best, right? Frank

Got this, with turtle deck, 32 rails and shell, Hal QC, with either a banger or flattie, like the Walling car. Or track style with belly pan and track nose, like Just Dug's.
Decisions, decisions. |

SAM-
that's the exact stance I'm looking to set mie at, the frame has been kicked up 12" in the raer(well more like 11-11.5") and the front has been swept up 4-5",.....going with a straight front axle instead of a dropped one,...don't want it too low!! |

Hi JW, thanks I am glad you like it.
I was just looking for a little more leg room. Your RPU looks to be a real comfortable ride. Last edited by fiftyv8; 10-25-2008 at 08:45 PM. |

I have 3 Ts, is that enough to get me in? I do not have any pics at the moment to post but the avatar shows one of them.
'21 T coupe (will be converted to a roadster) '25 TT (the one in the avatar, will be converted to a T) '27 T coupe (search my old posts and there will be a pic of it somewhere)

Cool stuff here! I'm in.
Here's mine. Bought in '69, from a guy who drove it during WWII then parked it in '48. Waukesha-Ricardo head, dropped front axle, Vega steering box, have a Ruckstell for it, but it's not in yet. I'd really like to build a closed cab '27 pickup. Use the cowl and doors from a coupe and the rear half of a '28 pickup cab and a T bed and make it look factory.

I have a '26 frame that I'm planning to put a Model A 'banger in with a '24-'25 style roadster body for a Multy Aldrich style build.

I'm so in!
Saturday I get the TT frame and it's ON! Here are the specs: - 1920 Roadster w/ turtledeck - Model TT frame, suicided A spring front, flipped and flattened T spring rear, and a bunch of parts stolen and modded into the chassis from the '31 - 1931 Axles, Wheels, Brakes, etc. - 1930 Banger with a Model B disty, and some speed goodies coming...

I have one, but it's not a hotrod. My ridding lawn mower has more horsepower! Wait that's it... I'll swap in a Briggs & Stratton.

Boy has my plan morphed in a little over two years. Scratch that Model A engine and substitute the ‘28 Chevy ‘banger I picked up (it’s more like an OHV Model T engine than an “A”). Also, I picked up a ‘29 Chevy radiator shell and I’m now planning to build something more reminiscent of the Spurgin & Giovanine ‘25 Chevy before it got the track nose.

Ah crap, count me in! It's impossible to photograph, but my oleander incrusted chain link fence on the east side of my property has the pelts of two nearly complete '23 or '24 tourings hanging from it. I have a rough '23 or '24 roadster body still hanging on the walls down at Elpolacko's shop, too. By default I have ended up with a customers still-born speedster chassis too. We won't even talk about the early sixties 'glass '23 body waiting for some day, either... Oh, just started on a "T" bucket style '23 touring for one of my clients as well.
Plans? Well, eventaully, the roadster body is gonna get a full fendered frame built for it and a 2300 Ford plopped in to drive around town. The glass body will get a small block as an early sixties "T" bucket, the touring bodies are probably going to get sold to the same client 'cause he wants me to clone Grabowski's touring for him. I flat forgot about my '27 modified that is a roller and taking up more of my free time lately than I wish. Argh, I need 36 hour days that are less than 115 degrees... |
