I'm so in!
Saturday I get the TT frame and it's ON! Here are the specs: - 1920 Roadster w/ turtledeck - Model TT frame, suicided A spring front, flipped and flattened T spring rear, and a bunch of parts stolen and modded into the chassis from the '31 - 1931 Axles, Wheels, Brakes, etc. - 1930 Banger with a Model B disty, and some speed goodies coming...

I have one, but it's not a hotrod. My ridding lawn mower has more horsepower! Wait that's it... I'll swap in a Briggs & Stratton.

Let's see if I have any 'done' pics of the Peter Beater, now in the capable hands of a friend of PovertyFlats.

Boy has my plan morphed in a little over two years. Scratch that Model A engine and substitute the ‘28 Chevy ‘banger I picked up (it’s more like an OHV Model T engine than an “A”). Also, I picked up a ‘29 Chevy radiator shell and I’m now planning to build something more reminiscent of the Spurgin & Giovanine ‘25 Chevy before it got the track nose.

Ah crap, count me in! It's impossible to photograph, but my oleander incrusted chain link fence on the east side of my property has the pelts of two nearly complete '23 or '24 tourings hanging from it. I have a rough '23 or '24 roadster body still hanging on the walls down at Elpolacko's shop, too. By default I have ended up with a customers still-born speedster chassis too. We won't even talk about the early sixties 'glass '23 body waiting for some day, either... Oh, just started on a "T" bucket style '23 touring for one of my clients as well.
Plans? Well, eventaully, the roadster body is gonna get a full fendered frame built for it and a 2300 Ford plopped in to drive around town. The glass body will get a small block as an early sixties "T" bucket, the touring bodies are probably going to get sold to the same client 'cause he wants me to clone Grabowski's touring for him. I flat forgot about my '27 modified that is a roller and taking up more of my free time lately than I wish. Argh, I need 36 hour days that are less than 115 degrees... |
