Roots supercharged v16... 366 cubic inches... made about 500hp.
They didn't really have "f1" in the thirties... That is what you would call a grand prix car. Competed against Maseratis, Mercs, etc...

Hey guys-
Supercharged v-12's and v-16's in the 30's? That's Hitler's engine testbed right there. Now you know where the Stuka and Messerschmidt got their engines.... Auto Union was a conglomerate created by the socialist goverment of Germany out of the four major auto manufacturers at the time. You'll recognize its logo as the four interlocking rings on Audis.
