    Her car stuff that is!

My girlfriend, Elizabeth, asked me to post her much anticipated build log. She took this car from a rough shell to what you see here in 9 months. NINE MONTHS. She had a lot of help from friends, but she really did do most of the work, and what she didn't do, she had a hand in.

She still needs to put the rest of the trim on, but that's about it. She made and installed the interior herself. I'll get more pics this weekend (hopefully) out in the sun and of the homemade headliner

    from Elizabeth:
Well, here's a look back on the past nine months of labor through this past weekend...followed by details on just what was done.

You are one lucky dude. Congrats to Elizabeth too - I would kill to have my gal even a tenth as enthusiastic about old cars as Elizabeth seems to be.

Me too! I think that was something that came with the pizza. Dawn is holding it. She's in 2 of those pics. She has a 49 Ford and a 64 Econoline and between her and her boyfriend, about 8 motorcycles. They rock. Great neighbors!

Yeah, Elizabeth is awesome. She did the interior in my 59 and will soon do my Econoline. And she's a cutie! :D

Her next project is a 51 Merc she's building for her dad.

As Gabby Hayes would say: Wimmin!
Wimmin in the shop and building hot rods! What next? Owning their own hot rod shop?

Now that the curmudgeon has crawled back in his hole, this young lady does some VERY nice work. And even better than some men!

Very nice. The car, the car!

So far, so good. She installed it. I thought the It's a Snap kit was a pain in the butt. It's made for all GM column connections, and has piss poor instructions.

... um... she calls her garage/shop "Bitchcraft Garage" :D

She built it keeping the Pileup criteria in mind... so she'd kick my ass if I didn't let her in! :D
