I saw this, and i am torn, as it would be cool to put a tri-power on my chevy, they cost alot of $$$$, and this looks OK, and is alot cheaper. it just bolts right up to the 4bbl carb. what do you guys think???? [IMG]

I gotta' be careful what I say, many probably question some of my choices, but it either is or it isn't. I'm not sure I would do that.

I'm not a big fan of fake anything. Fake is, well.......... Fake!

Fake is a funny word. Say it 10 times fast and it even starts to sound fake.

I don't like it because it looks really bogus. To me it looks like a carb cover/box with stacks attached to it. Those fake fuel lines go into the side of the stacks which also looks funky in my opinion. I would just get creative with an air cleaner on my single 4 barrel or fab up a cool scoop before I would do that, but that's just my opinion.

There was a guy back in the 60s that put fake stacks through his 55 Chevy hood. For the rest of time he will be refered to as "TUBES" by his friends(?). I don't think I want to go through life with the nick name TUBES.:D

    Are you blind?

Have you even LOOKED at a pair?

    Fake boobs SUCK.

They look round and fake. Real boobs have a quality that can't be duplicated by the surgeon.

Real boobs are the only way to go. I don't care how small or how large, real is where its at. :D

p.s. breast reduction surgery should be outlawed. Its as bad as murder.

    oh yeah,
those stacks suck. They look wrong.

    Keep it real.

It doesn't appear to have any added benifit so that kills it for me. Also that big base the stacks are on looks horrible. I'm all for creative Air cleaners but this just looks goofy.

I'm not sure if anyone ever told you this but there really isn't anything in the world wrong with running a single four. Mulitple carbs look cool and I've run 'em more than once, but there were probably a lot more cars built back in the day with one than a dozen.

  23. I don't know when that pic was taken, but this was taken at the Car Craft Nationals in St. Paul weekend before last... If this one is more recent, even HE thought better of the flipped over roaster pan and exhaust tips air cleaner. (it would actually be slightly better if that's what it was made out of.)

Still no excuse for those goofy headlights.

I rate it right up there with all of those horrible fake convertible tops on '80s/'90s four door sedans.
