oh man....it was anything but smooth!!!!this is the second time i've built this motor..the first time we fired it and bent a valve,this time we went through the electrical system for a week ,rebuilt a good dizzy 3 times ,static timed it about a thousand times,before we correctly assumed the starter was worn out.then the carb started acting up.when we removed the starter,and plopped on a rebuilt carb (courtesy of baron von mike of HAMB fame),it fired right up!!
