I see how others have done it,
I believe I'm doing it right

but it aint workin for me...

 

thanks for the offer for assistance with youtube, I am familiar with youtube,
have posted many videos from youtube

but the quality is quite poor compared to vimeo..

 

Do you have to have their upgrade account to post a embedded video? HRP

 

Post a link to a Vimeo video embedded in a thread here. I looked a bit but all I found were links. I'd like to see what kind of tags they use. The "YT" YouTube tags don't seem to work with Vimeo.

The only Vimeo vids I saw embebbed were in Ryan's posts on the Jalopy Journal homepage.

Maybe YouTube is the only thing that can be embedded in the regular threads.

 

I'm with HRP go to You Tube much easier.

yes, youtube is easy but I was hoping for an HD image quality..

 

Last I checked YouTube is HD capable also but hey it's your call. Just trying to help.

vbulletin forum software supports vimeo posts.
I was going to post the link above but you already did.
Search for 100% Matt indicates he is on periodically, and has been on yesterday and today.
You could PM him to see if he has any magic dust that he used to get his posts working.

Seems kind of strange, but using the link above will embed this Vimeo video in the main part of the forum. Maybe there is some feature for embedding video that is turned off for some reason in the "Questions & Suggestions" thread.
