53 chevy steering

does anyone know if a 53-54 chevy steering has a faster ratio then a 51 and r the columns and boxes interchangable

 

I put a 54 box and column into my 50. I had both on a beach, the 54 box took fewer 360 degree turns Left to Right. sorry I forgot the exact count but it was like 4 VS 3.5.

 

Yes they are faster, yes 49-54 interchange. Get a '54 if you can, it used bearings instead of bushings.

anyone know the numbers on 54 boxes? i have 3 and all say 5665664. i know they came off 54 car. unsure on bearings and bushings. could i have late 53 boxes?
