my wife uses pliers.....to hammer nails into the wall to hang pictures...
but she is known to "hammer" "screws" into the wall too

But similair to what someone else already said. I married her for other reasons than her mechanical skills

My ol' lady doesn't even like PARKING next to my hot rods. Must have been SOMETHING I liked about her........

Grand-nephew Brody likes 'em though. He won't leave the fan alone on the 348.

My wife went for a little 150 mile ride with me in my obnoxious hot rod last weekend, and she helps me bleed brakes, move transmissions, etc. But it's been a while since I got her to wrench on her car.

My wife likes to ride in old cars and drive old cars but working on them...not so much...hell, not at all.
I'll always remember when she and a friend's wife were going shopping but the current ride was blocking the new car. They jumped up in the seat and she drove off in the 48 Ford 3/4 ton V8 granny 4-speed Mart Texas Rescue truck.

I'm really happy that my wife is helping me to try to finish some of the cars that have been sitting for years. It doesn't bother her to get dirty (with cars that is) she will draw the line when I start the knuckle busting language lol.

My wife will help if I need a hand. Of course she shows up with all her rings and chains on... and in clean clothes. I do offer her gloves, whatta guy.

She can light an acetylene torch and pass it to me and I had her weld some scrap pieces together just for the heck of it.

My wife says she doesn't bust her knuckles but when she fell down on my oil spot that I left it was a different story.

Exactly. And they start snooping around asking questions like....Is that a new drum of nitro? And it's like a snowball effect, they start finding all kinds of stuff. I have a standard answer......NO.

I get the 20 question deal...

...why is this place such a mess?
...don't you ever put anything away?
...how do you find anything?
...where did that engine come from, it wasn't here last week.
...do you really need all this stuff?
...who helped you drink all that beer (spies pile of empty cans...)?
...you realize if this place ever goes up in flames we're going to have to do some heavy 'splainin' to the fire marshall...
