Skimmed it, very cool. I will go back and digest it in a bit. I have a job that needs to leave the garage before noon today. Thanks for the article. it never ceases to amaze me the old articles and information that you manage to find for us.
Ryan Thats pretty cool. I printed it and put it inside my Tardel/Bishop book for future reference. chuck
Good article, if you want an expanded version, check out book by Fred W Bill Fisher called Ford Speed Manual. It's a reprint June 1952 by Fisher Books - got mine amazon $12. Good 50's AV8 info
I was having a Crap Day till I read this, My Model A wouldn’t Start (Blown Fuse) and I dropped one of my Tail lights....Smash So I log on to the H.A.M.B for a bit of stress relief after some retail therapy (new lenses) I find this fantastic article. Thanks for the info I can’t wait to put a flatty in my Coupe
Ryan, a direct nod to you in THANKS good Sir! Recollecting, finding, and sharing these "lost articles" retains... (this to continue to use, practice, etc type of retain) ...all things Journal and Jalopy Now to find my own edition November 1953, as my A is truly giving me the "one almost feels pressured" stink eye
Saved That is some great and timely reading. Now I need to look in my copy of Ford Speed Manual that No stinkin Windows mentioned in post 6. As he said they are on Amazon and for as low as 8.95 used plus the postage.
A very nice blueprint, for those looking for accuracy, in a traditional build. Direct and well illustrated, what more could you ask for? Honestly, a so called "traditional" build could be gauged against some of the modifications written here. Nicely done.
Living in the bushes, as I do, there is little to no chance that I would have ever come across this on my own. Thanks , Boss!
