  4. To me, a primered custom does not classify as classy, even if it has all the other elements.

Its seems that the Classy Full Custom car is becoming a rare breed. Not sure why the current custom trend is going in the way of unfinished, or wacky cars, but for me, nothing is as awesome as a shiny, smooth, traditionaly styled car with a good eye for detail and proportion, paired up with a classy R&P interior!

Dude, you're working on one right now. I'm sorry, but the ole Plymouth is much more appealing to me than one of those shoeboxes you have pictured. Chevys look great once they are customized. As Chad says, it's about proportion and clean lines.

i am kinda bias on this one but i went to great measures to make sure i was building a traditional custom with nothing cosmetically newer than 1957. so far i have had great reviews on my car and as it should be its driven everyday. but my favorite will always be the sectioned shoebox that valley custom built in 1953 and if it wasn't for that car i would never have built mine.

uhh, "gangsta" and classy are two separate things! That is just my opinion, of course.

Nothing about that car is "gansta" if you saw that car in real life you would shit yourself. Nothing on that car is newer than '55, including the headlights, they are 55 Porshe, and yes they used those for customizing even in the 50's. So it's "just like they did in the 50's bro" and the car car is dead straight. A true "radical" custom that doesn't go over the top with silly ass paint and lots of stupid body mods just for the sake of change.

This is a nice looking car - but no gloss kills it for classy clasification.

  22. It's obvious,I love all Mercs, but not all can be considered "Classy". There are onlt a few that I would put in the Classy catagory. Matranga is by far one of the best,of the non,49-51 Mercs.

Over the top chop, sitting right on the ground, it just looks way too over the top to be what I consider a classy look, its just my opinion. Im sure that guys craftsmanship is top notch, and that black paint is arrow straight, but its just a bit too modern and "slammed" in my opinion.

  25. I agree about the paint but there is no denying that this car has class. You know this car will have gloss paint someday, I hope.
The ass end looks as if it's melting into the asphalt. Awesome!

  26. Classy has to stand the test of time. Hard to put a bagged,frame-laying,Euro-headlighted,car in the same catagory as the most beloved customs. Not saying that Nobles car isn't nice,it is. Classy...not really.

  28. I've seen that Shoebox in person, and it is a well done car. But classy it's not! Maybe after it's painted and the interior is done.

  29. Chad, I'm with you on this one. Haven't cared much for it since I saw it in primer a while ago. A bit over the top for me. Not really a style you would have seen in the 50's but to each his own. The car being well built and incredible paint job is absolutely being fair, well done.

Let's move on to more Classy Kustoms.
