I'm really torn between a paint job or just leaving her in bare aluminum. I'm leaning toward bare aluminum with painted numbers and logo.
    Any opinions?

  6. I also got a close up look at it at El Mirage. It's flawless, top shelf work.

Not every scratch built car evokes strong emotions, this car does. I have 2 bare aluminum cars so I'm biased. Nonetheless, I would vote for keeping this one bare with painted numbers and logo. It's the right thing to do!

  9. Bobby, you need to crank that pinion angle down about a nother half degree or your U-joints won't make it 100k...;)

Bobby, did that frame used to have sort of a stub nose on it that wrapped around the front and had sort of a spring perch type of mount??

    Looks bitchin'!

Wow! That is some seriously rare stuff right there.

That machine is something to be proud of Bobby.

  17. Bobby Green -

    Very, very cool!

My vote is for grey or Silver paint with COOP666's "Grey Goose" logo & numbers in a contrasting color [e.g., black or maroon (to match your bitchin' tow vehicle)] ... or better yet, why not just go "full corporate sellout" and opt for one of these paint schemes?:

That is very clever making the rear spring cover panels into an air foil design. Do you think that will create any significant downforce on the rear of the car at speed?

it looked damn good at El Mirage!

  21. It'll do something that's for sure-Lift? Downforce? Just look at an F1 car today...they will tack on a winglet the size of a post-it-note in the desperate search for downforce.
