A Galveston Island warehouse find with actual 60's drag racing history. Pee Wee (which is also his name on HAMB) cleaned it off and here it is. Dave H had this '32 built by Austin Speed Shop and they're just finishing the odds and ends now. He told me he bought the body in Indiana and the early hemi 1/2 hour from his house in Florida. Liked the pics......I like nostalgia as much as the next guy but, I noticed that only one or two of the group looks to have had new or recent paint......hummmm...spent the last 25 years learning how to make 'em look good........oh, well. just sayn......
I shot maybe 10% of the cars there. There were a lot of beauties. It was a cloudy, chilly day and I guess I was in a patina mood. Plus I had two 7-year-olds with me wanting to climb on the Army truck and Jeeps all day. Glad you like the pics! It was a fun show.
