Steve could be onto a whole new thing.....video in portrait. I'm off to the patent office.

Oh yeah. That sounded really good. It's very cool to see the throttle arms on 8 carbs all move at once. It just makes it look very serious.

Considering how fired up steve was, I'm actually surprised he got any video at all. I mean, he is still giggling like a little girl on a sleepover.

I'm excited too... It's always cool to me when someone else gets to see Keith Tardel in his real element. It's incredible to watch a person that is so good at what he does... No one does it better, faster, or smarter.

So awesome!!!! That's like all my hopes and dreams for my '32 wrapped up in an even tighter more efficient package. From the Double Rocker Mill and Drag Pipes to the 6x2 intake sitting up high and mighty. Nothing subtle about that. Thanks guys.

That is so damn cool! This is a thread for KOZ. He's heavily into the early 60's CR chassis FED's.

It's such a creepy pic right? The Wizard put a spell on me. :D

What size desoto is it? Are we letting some specs out of the bag?

I've been thinking about selling off my Chrysler and 6x2 EC6 because I know with hood sides a blister is inevitable and I'm not really in love with the idea of a huge tear drop shaped protrusion popping out the side of the hood. A desoto will still need one but it would be smaller because they are like an inch smaller on each side correct?

I don't want to go with a Doge Hemi because those are just gay. Just Kidding Jeff!! Haha!!! I would run one if I could find speed parts.

I can't wait to see some good video of this thing's first outing. There really nothing cooler.

    Jeffrey,
There's an image lurking hereabouts of the early hemi powered roadster? where the builder simply cut the hood sides carefully, to allow the valve covers to protrude (lower front edges). It was pure art-work. In a street driven form, I'd "gasket" the edges, but you get the idea.

  22. So, is the Black Dahlia going to be the push car!?!?!?!

I think there were two of them actually. One is sitting in the Henry Ford Museum and another might be a California car. Maybe they are the same one. Looks like Tazmanian devil popped out the side if taz knew how to artfully cut the hoodside haha!!! Sort of a jagged cut but fits the valve cover perfectly?

Yeah I thought that was a neat trick and perfectly executed. However I think it draws ever more attention to the area and I don't think I was it as a focal point. maybe on a lighter painted car it would work for me.....thanks for reminding me!

  30. Isn't that the engine that Norm Jones(our local Hemi buddy) built for Steve?.....I didn't seem to see any credits for that part????

Nice Digger....can't wait to see it in person, and hopefully line up with the Flathead FED next to it at DOTD....I just love the fact that more and more folks are coming up with true Nostalgic type Dragsters around here:D.
