Imagine my surprise when I was flipping through pictures of the LARS and saw this beauty back from oblivion. This has been my favorite Hot Rod since I first saw it at a car show here in Denver. The last time I saw picture of it it looked like this:

And it's not easy making a '30 '30 look that good.

To me that car just defines Hot Rod. Flames, over carbed motor, loud pipes and monster rubber. I was lucky enough to take a ride in it with Lonnie. It made my day. It always reminded me of this Hot Wheels car all of us probably owned as a kid:

Looks much better now (with the red accents and without the yellow) than it did before.

Wow, I saw that car again at LARS last weekend too. I didn't pay to much attention to it because I have seen it many times before. It was a Street Rodder feature car in '78, and American Rodder sometime in the mid Nineties. What I didn't know was this part of the story! When did it get crunched up? Who brought it back? Always liked that car...

  15. luc, thats a great story and the one of how the owner sold it and found and brought it back years later warmed my heart. (its winter down here, so we need warmin up!)
