a friend of mine is getting a 1959 ranchero with a 59 edsel front and rear.it looks to be pro done not a hack job looks factory. i'll post pics when he gets it home . thanks billy
what's the question? edsel front and/or rears are a common custom upgrade on rancheros. and they look great. not hard to make it not look like a hack job..
Here is a thread you might like (I SURE DO) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=409482&highlight=edsel+conversion
yeah. cool cars. i think it's so funny how badly received the edsel was at the time. i think edsels are some of the finest looking cars to have rolled out.... but that's just me. love that grill, don't care what anyone else says-that's a badass car.
When I asked my grandfather about Edsel's (I kinda like 'em), he said "Those were fine cars, but i'd never buy a car that had a toilet seat for a grille." Needless to say I couldn't buy an Edsel after a comment like that from the old man. I DO love the Edchero's or whatever they're called. Very cool. Toilet seat and all.
There is one here in Loveland, Colo. As I have a 59 Skyliner, I have thought about making it an Edsel Skyliner. I've seen one done. My Skyliner is too nice to do that with. BTW, if anyone has a 3x2 FE intake, let me know!
