thanks for the input and concerning comments.i've learned more about it today than i have in two months.you know whats funny everything with value is not forsale.but out of everyone i contacted the first thing most people ask is how much you want for it.the more i learn about it its probably out of the price range of what most of you concerned would be willing to pay. the $10.00 i paid for this intake is probably going to be the best $10 i spent in a while

  9. How about posting a pic of it?

$10.00 for a $2,000.00 manifold, I hate that guy!:) I would be the guy selling it for $10.00. Nice score, it does pay to know your parts.

    GREAT SCORE! WOW!
It sure would be nice to find the rest of the motor ( or just the top end for that matter), for say, 100 bux or so! :)

Can't really help on value, other than it's obviously worth a lot more than most folks would be willing to spend unless they have a 427 needing one.
And considering what the other Z11 parts go for, i'd have to agree a couple grand if not more.

The Mystery engine was NOT a 409 based engine....It was the forerunner of the 396/427...

Intake will NOT fit anything else....only that engine..had a couple of those intakes...tried to tell some guy from Iowa that they will not fit a 396...he insisted that I was full of shit...(and most likely was correct about that, but I was correct about the intake)......and bought one for a hunnered bucks...........bitched like hell later............this was back in the early 70s...........

TEXOUTSIDER Thanks for the info, do you still have one? If you do according to my feedback you should be able to get a 200% profit at todays value. We must be a lot alike. I get told I'm full of it everyday.
