With the number of cabs that need help and the popularity of Pickups today I'd say you were way ahead of the learning curve. There is no need to stop working on the project, parts look good you need to define the sales price to determine the market.
I'm getting ready to do a total build on a 36 Truck. At first glance it looks pretty solid but I know how things go. I'm a pretty good tin smith so rebuilding isn't a big deal for me. Time is.
