A good friend is down...... he caught a crazy bug and is pretty sick.
For the purpose of this message I will call him "DIAMOND"

Diamond is a golden man. The kind of guy who will drop anything and help whoever needs it at any time.

When I first came to Austin it was really hard on me..... I was away from my wife and family and it sucked. Diamond went out of his way to help me through it. If it wasn't for him and a couple others, I wouldn't have made it.

Basically, "Diamond" Fucking Rules.

So now for the last several weeks he has been battling pneumonia.

He has been in and out of the Hospital a few times and out of work. The worst part is he has just started a new job and the insurance hasn't kicked in yet.....

Now I am sure he is going to be OK as he may be the strongest guy I know, but these have got to be some rough times for he and his wife................ I want to help.

I was talking to the guys at the shop today and we decided to throw a benefit party for him. He means alot to us and I figure its the least we can do.

I know he won't want this but DAMNIT, its on. Too late.


So Friday June 19th we are having an Open House / Party/ Hot Rod Show / Bikes too...

It will start at 7:00 PM

The Jade(d) Idol will play at 8 thirtyish

I have a message in to the Yay-Hoo's to bring the minibikes and have a drag race or something......

Maybe we can blow something up????


I don't know, the details are fuzzy but I promise it will be KICK ASS.


The shop will provide some beer and refreshments and maybe we can fire up a grill or something...Pot Luck?

I think we will have a $10 minimum donation........ best deal of the year.




So anyway...... tell your friends.

Bob, you would only try this when he's weak and in the hospital. When he gets his strenght back, he's gonna pound you but good. Haha. Since he's the kinda guy that would never ask for help like this, we should go over the top to make it super cool.

The Yay-Hoos will start working on details for the mini bike race. We'll post back as soon as we get an idea of what the details are.

This whole thing is gonna is gonna be a blast.

Last word I got was last night after Angie talked to his wife. He was feeling a little better but may have to be in the hospital for a couple more days. Sorry I don't have better details than that. DW may be able to post more details soon, since he's been our main source of contact and info.

 

hmmm... I don't see FIRE! on the schedule yet, but I'm sure we could work something out.

 

Everyone should attend this event, Jade Idol rocks my face off.

 

Im really looking forward to this. Diamond deserves it. Maybe an air guitar competition in his honor as well......!

 

D.W. just got back from the hospital and the patient is feeling a bit better. Hopefully all those kick ass drugs they are pumping into his body will work their magic and he'll be out soon.

The patient hopes to be released on Monday but thinks that Wed. is more likely. His fever is gone & the drugs they are giving him seem to be working. He has his voice & his color back too. Unfortunately, he isn't gonna be %100 for a while. Gonna have some recovery to do for sure.
The good news is that he is finally on his way back.
