OK, so now that we have people coming out of the woodwork that have been screwed by Joseph Grey from Buna Texas, it has become evident that we need to start a thread specifically for the purpose of getting a complete and detailed list of names, amounts, details, etc.

This thread is ONLY FOR DETAILS. We don't need to see suggestions, comments, or rants about this guy. We just need a single thread that anyone who has dealt with Joe and gotten the shaft to list their details. What we need from each person is....

    1. How much money you sent him.
    2. What you sent the money for.
    3. When you sent the money.

This single thread will allow anyone who is trying to go to their local authorities with their case to show that they are not alone. Please only post a single time on this thread and only with the info listed above. If you want to get up to date on the HAMB's current situation with Joe just search for his name in the "questions and suggestions" board. Feel free to post suggestions or updates on those other threads.

    Thanks, and let's stick together.

PS Ryan, if you could please delete any and all posts that don't meet the above criteria on this thread I would appreciate it. I'm not trying be a dick, but there is just so many people involved in this thing I need a single place to get the facts together.

We should take out a full page ad in his local newspaper... We could all chip in to pay for it.

Publish his address and we all can extract some kind of creative revenge. Not that we'd sign him up to receive porn or religious tracts or something.

  11. It's time Folks . We need all victims who have had their money stolen from Joe Grey to go to the ic3.gov website {also listed on the "users against Joe Grey" thread , here in Q&A section}
The list is big / long enough , if we all file on the ic3.gov site , to put Joe away.
Please do not post opinions on this thread {post away on users against Joe thread} just fact , crime and claim info on this one.

hi guys, i got permission from ryan to post the following info. i know that some headway has been made as far as this joe grey situation goes, but i think this might be a little helpful...
i talked to my brother yesterday after having read this thread. he is a special agent for the fbi and works in the cyber crime division. i talked to him about what a bunch of you guys have been going through and this is basically what he told me...
joe grey is committing internet fraud and since things have carried accross state lines... it has become a federal case. my brother said that it is super important for everyone involved to file a complaint(s) with the internet complaint board, i think the address has been posted on one of these threads.. ic3 something or other. anyhow... when they get enough complaints and enough cash is involved they kick it over to the fbi and the fbi decides what to do from there. sorry, i dont know and my brother was not sure what the dollar amount needs to be before the fbi takes over, he just stressed the importance of filing the complaints. i know some other hambers are pursuing this as well and i wish you all the best of luck. if i get any more info from my brother i will certainly pass it along. i hope this helps somebody. good luck everyone
    regards
    jim

Well that all adds up to about $3500. This guy is probably well known in his parts. If you all took out an add in his local rag, he might be able to take legal action. File your complaints with the feds. In the end he'll get whats comming to him.
    Good Luck

Damn fellas. Was following this nonsense a while back and just saw where it hadn't been resolved yet. I used to know that area fairly well but haven't been over there in years.

Here's the link to their "newspaper". It's just a little local paper but that town is so small everyone gets it or has seen it. You want to get his attention in that town? Call these folks and see about taking a full page ad out.

    http://bunabeacon.net/beacon/contact.html

You should also look into contacting a reporter for either the Beaumont Enterprise or the Silsbee Bee. Preferably the Enterprise. If you catch somebody's interest they will contact that Sheriff and inadvertantly apply a little pressure if it appears he's not doing his job. I'm pretty sure it will catch the eye of local FBI office as well since it's the only paper in the region.

Thanks for the info. I'll be giving the Buna Beacon on Monday. I'll keep everyone I've talked to informed and hopefully an ad in the paper might wake Mr. Grey up and show that we aren't letting this one slip by like stuff has in the past. I'll post again next week with more info.

OK, so I contacted the Buna Beacon. Its the local newspaper out of Buna. I've got prices and info on a full page ad and I think it would be a good idea. I want to post every person's name, state, and amount lost in the ad as well as Joe's address and cell phone number. I will draw up a preliminary sketch of what the ad will look like. If everyone could please contact me with their information and whether or not they want to be in on this I'd appreciate it. I've spoken to a "collection agent" here locally that knows some people in Texas and will keep everyone posted on that front as well. I will try to send PM's to everyone that has contacted me regarding Mr. Grey, but if you know someone that hasn't spoken up yet please encourage them to get on board. The more people and higher dollar amount we can get on this ad the better. I'm looking at a FULL page ad so there will be plenty of room (I hope). I'll post again when I have more info. Thanks.

UPDATE!!! Yes, its been 2 years since Joe stole the hard-earned money from several HAMBr's but I haven't given up. Last weekend one of those victims actually talked with Joe at a swapmeet in Texas. He confronted Joe and thought he was going to get some of his money back, but Joe crept away in the night without squaring up. The thread regarding this incident was deleted because of the comments recommending illegal action, but before it was removed I was contacted by a Texan that thinks he may be able to help with the situation. He has asked that all the victims mail him hard copies of receipts, emails, or whatever else you may have so he can take everything together to his connection. He's offered to call in a couple favors for this one so let's try and give him everything he needs to make it happen.
I know I think about Joe about once a week (usually when I see a dog taking a crap or smell a dead skunk by the road) but many of you may have forgotten. Please try and take a few minutes to look up that old info and make copies. I don't want to post the address here for the gentleman's privacy, but if you PM me I can give you everything you need. I've tried to PM all the members I had contact with back when this thread began but if I missed you please let me know.
I realize its a long shot but what if it actually works this time.

Well its april 2011 and i wish i would have read this post before hand. my boss sent me down to buna to pick up wat was supposed to be a fresh rebuilt 235 i6 chevy. motor looked the part. all the goodies, thicksten alum 2 carb intake, matching valve cover, 2 rochesters, and a fenton split header. we live north of dallas and drove down on a sat morning to pick it up. 2300 cash in hand. got there and it was pouring down rain, couldnt really check much out. pulled the valve cover and looked to b fine. here it is almost a month later and tear it down just to make sure. its complete trash, boat anchor is all its good for.flat cam, scared lifters, scared crank under the bearings, #1 cylnder wall is was houned and new rings put in but the wall is rust pitted beyond repair. can not believe we fell for this guy. so just to let you all know he is back at it again and to stay away. know better now but that doest help being out 2k. have a bill of sale but wat good is it now. if neone knows how we can get this guy we are in.

Don't worry Model A Mark.....you're not the only one. I don't know how or when, but someday all the lying and cheating will come back around on ol' Joe. I just wish I could be there when it does.

  26. This might be a good time to remind or inform our newer members that there is a bad sellers list, these guys real names are listed and they can't post on the hamb but it's a good idea to check.

There are literately thousands of transactions that go smoothly by honest people on the Hamb every day but sadly there are scum bags that take advantage of other guys trusting nature.

If you have a item list in the wanted section remember to check the bad sellers list. HRP

Over 5 years since I had any dealings with him. Got the part and it is rusted to the point of being worthless. Until recently I thought he had disapeared into the woodwork like the cockroach he is. If I ever get the chance I will bust out his teeth with the piece of crap side mount spare tire carrier he sold me. Rod
