My bud's got a kustom fit with a '66 Mustang rear, busted on the way home from a show. trying to help score him one quick to keep him in the season... would a '68 rear fit as well? It's under a Falky wagon, he just wants to avoid fabbing a different rear to make it fit...

Can't answer your fit question, but I wonder what is busted that can not be fixed?
Surely getting a replacement center or axle or whatever he needs would be an easy fix. Even a housing can usually be repaired...

According to this chart, the 68 Mustang rear is wider than the 66.
