    Hello from Colorado

    1955 plaza plymouth

    Engine # P27-217694

Try to figure out if it is a 241 or a 259

Any help would be appreciated. It has been on blocks since 1973..

    Thanks,

    Derek

  2. If it has the 23" engine, my guess would be a 230. Derek

As you may already know P-27 was used for both engines. Might try the casting number, I'm assuming they are different between the 2, if not you'd have to measure the bore. 241 is 3.4385 259 is 3.5625

Casting number is on rear face of the block. I can't seem to find my ref with the poly casting numbers, not sure if 241 Poly has a different # than the 241 hemi. '55 Hemi would be 1632229 or 1635829

my ref doesn't show # for PLYMOUTH 241, only Dodge so I'm not sure if polys & hemis have the same casting #. dodge is 1409528 or 1613745 but those are listed for 53-4 dodges
