Just a girl with a 49 Ford...

Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm hailing from Tampa/St. Pete area...I've been creeping this board for a super long time, never had any reason to join, since having a car is the whole point, but I've learned a lot and thankful for this site...Well I managed to pick myself up a '49 Ford...At this point in time, the car is needing everything, I'm working with a rolling body, but I'm very much looking forward to turning her into a dirty little taildragging Shoebox..It's my first build, first car and I'm sure my first major headache...Hoping she gets back on the road by Spring...She is a mordor and I love her for it...so no I will not be converting from a 4 door to a 2 door...

I love this kind of stuff. Good on you for making the move. This little Rose came to me in 3 truck loads of loose pieces and lot's of body repair to do so there is hope for yours.

@ Deto - I've been a car girl my whole life, have friends in the business and I regular all the car shows and such, also helped pull my first engine with my Stepfather when I was 12, hence the lingo ;-) ...Either I have the money and can't find the car or the car I want rolls around and I don't have the dough to buy it, good ole Murphy's law...so I've always been a spectator, and it's been lame...this Shoebox is my saving grace...
