  2. awesome! You and Marcie nailed it Ryan - this is exactly the video we were watching and pattered Round Up numero uno after... Jefe had a copy of it - and we even had a couple of screen grabs on he very first web page for the show.

Awesome new feature, boss! looking forward to what you and Piero dig up!

Very classy. Pctures of the cars from this time are inspirational and thought provoking. Seeing the cars and people in motion bring a whole new perception into the equation.

Anyoine notice how there are so many "new" cars in shows at the time? I bet the A and T owners hated competing against those new cars.

Fantastic... thanks for sharing those Ryan.
I only had seen portions of these that where on the first Barris DVD.. so its a real pleasure to see the rest. (although I still have not seen part three). It is really great to see these cars roll on the grass all in color.

I have seen Bob Metz 1950 Buick. Junior Conway's 1950 Ford, Rod & Custom Dream truck, Saint Vasquez 1951 Chevy among many others... Wish I had some more time right now to look again...

Outstanding job Ryan! You and Marcie are doing us all a great service by making this available to so many that could have only imagined what it was really like. There were local shows every where in the '50s and '60s that could not get the magazine coverage. You may be the vehicale to expose the larger picture. I hope others will come foward with early film and stills that can be showen here.

The best part... they drive up to pick up their trophies (well most of them anyway)... that says a lot... great stuff...

    That is really good footage.
It cracks me up how some of the trophy girls have to push the horn dogs away....

  11. rikster, you spotted the same ones I did..really cool to see these cars moving when I've only seen pictures of them...my jaw dropeed soooo many times..and then I was thinking that man, they sure had it easier! the cars were new(even the 30's cars were only as old as my honda(!), you could get parts from anywhere(they were still new parts!)..imagine, needing studebaker pans for your grill surround? you just go to the dealership and get em!! doubtful any one of them had to replace the lower ten inches of their cars...hahahah...goes to show how bad we love this hobby(or profession)... bet they never figured we'd be drooling over this footage 53 years later...awesome!

Thanks Piero, aka Evel, aka Live Wire....for putting this together and Ryan for the outlet, JJ. It's kinda like that "Blue Plate Special" painting, but for Customs and Hotrods and the folks behind them. Loved the part of the kids midget racing on the track and the one getting out to get his trophy, is that a football helmet (Hahaha!!). Everything about this video is perfect. Thanks!!

I haven't seen this in years. My copy was a very grainy VHS. Thanks for making me late to work this AM.

Earl Bruce and his Gullwing Mercedes

52 Merc with big fins was out of Bailon's shop it went to LA and Jeffries had scalloped it over Bailon's Candy Red Paint

Junior Conway in his 50 Ford

Peep Jackson in his 57 T Bird

Eddie Ducazau?? 29 hiboy roadster pickup

"Saint" Vasquez Maroon Chev Convert with Carson Top (Renegades- Long Beach)

Ryan it looks grate..the player rocks!!!

I'm going to do my best to get a new video up every month exclusive to JJ..
it might be old footage of history stuff or Me going to a shop and walking around or
raw footage from MFS shoots in the past.. it will be a neat segment on JJ and i'm
honored to be asked to partner up with Ryan on this...

If anyone has old footage that they want to showcase I can definatly help with that. PM me

I have been talking to Scott from The Dreams of Legends DVD's and he has 70 hours
